Yes, we all should know better. About everything, really. Good rule of thumb for life.

Well, I do still intend to rebuild the 910CMX site, but one thing's for damn sure... it's going to have a comment system!

Heh... sure is going to be some work. Ironic, how I was always "just about" to get around to finishing that old website, and now I've got to start from scratch. Probably a good thing, all things considered.

As a step in the right direction, the new forum is active now. I know some of you prefer it to the simpler comment system! So, by all means, if you're so inclined, give it a whirl. Maybe it'll be friendlier to new users than the last one!

And she will, too... just to annoy Jack before she moves in for the kill. Knowing Jack though, he's been through too much to just take it sitting down on a toilet of power in defeat...

Well, maybe I'll try out the new forum. Glad the comments are sticking around though! Zebragirl's a bunch of fun!

"We all know what kind of movie we're in." -- That cracked me up.

The number one reason why people die in horror movies is because they don't watch horror movies.

Jack never learned how to make light orbs so, y'know, he just sets himself on fire.

I like this idea. He's a super wizard who never bothered to learn how to cast a harmless light spell because he never needed to.

Heh... He's a super wizard that's resilient to fire.

I'd picked up this nasty, nasty habit of storing up Fireballs in a ring of spell storing in a 2nd Edition game wherein I was proof against magical fire. I'd wade in to the melee and fireball my feet. You do the math there.

I'm pretty sure Jack's off in that same space.

Wally knows it's monster related, he just wants an excuse to duck out of sight and put a shirt on.

Take a look at the comment system,Discus. www.licd.com uses it and it's really nice. It has comment vote buttons for the users and remembers usernames and such. I believe it's just plug and play in terms of html insert as well.

If you do use discuss, be sure to have it hidden such that it doesn't load automatically. It freezes a lot of computers to run it, and crashes a few as well.

I just learned why Strong Female Protagonist has it's discusss behind a button last week.

You can see his ear there in the left on the last panel. And he's the one making the genre savvy comment about "what movie we're in"

I think I kind of love it when a silly comic turns serious, and keeps the silliness as canon. Jack getting fried all the time no longer makes sense with the tone of the comic, but it's still a part (an important part) of the comic's history, so it's incorporated here as support for his fire resistance. You need both, though. This moment would not work on the dramatic level if it hadn't worked on the silly level way back when.

TL;DR - Kudos Mr. England.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to work it into a Comic Fury site. Still, the new 910CMX site will be up... eventually. Gah, lots of site building to do.
