Yeah, remember when San-- uh, Zan... when Zebra Girl set the kitchen on fire? Well, Jack wasn't going to pay cash for a repair crew when he has magic powers at hand!

In fact, he probably wouldn't pay for a repair crew even if he wasn't a wizard. Our protagonists tend to live like church mice. None of them have really high-paying jobs, you know?

But they do love their various vocations. Just look at the work Crystal put into making those pants form-fitting to a fault!

...Actually, that's my fault more than anyone else's. Downside to running a little universe of your own. Everything that looks weird or wrong in some way, the buck stops here. Like, I forgot that Jack was supposed to have a bag on his arm in the second panel. So I had to make one for him, just alter that little corner of reality so that continuity was assured.

Sorry, I've been watching Rick and Morty clips lately, and it's got me feeling half-drunk and sardonic. Or maybe it's the sleep deprivation. Wooo, man. Who needs alcohol?

Not this guy. I'm bad enough when I'm sober.

But I'm not seeing any 'faults' to form-fit...

There may not be a fault, but I can definitely see a crack.

To a fault inasmuch as I almost thought she was wearing a G-string instead of actual pants.

Full disclosure, I did alter the image slightly to "de-emphasize" Crystal's posterior. Because you were right, it didn't seem quite so noticeable while I was drawing, but a lot of the things I wind up changing aren't so apparent until just after I post the page. "Grace period," I call it. I just corrected a typo not fifteen minutes ago!

So, I guess that does explain the growing boob thing too?

Only if Jack's done some magic targeted at boobs that has also gotten away from him for some reason.

Not that I'd put it past him.

He did once put a shape shifting or glamor spell on Sandra. I can not remember any specific isntance, but he as alone in the house for months. Studying magic "only pausing to sleep, eat and masturbate".

"...to a fault." *looks back up at panel 2* ... ... we're you making a pun?

Do you think Jack could fix the broadcast problem by changing a 1 to a 0? Or does that only work in binary and against Galactic governments?

So..can we expect 97 more years or 9 more seasons of Zebra girl before we get to the szechuan sauce? ;)

Seriously though, it makes sense that a place that is so bombarded with esoteric energy/magic becomes a blind spot to most magic wielders until they're on top of it.

If you need to have your bedroom soundproofed by a wizard... then you and your girlfriend are REALLY having a good time.

I mean, all that non-stop, sweaty, loud, all-night karaoke!

Exactly. I mean, Jack loves his karaoke, but it's kind of weird when it's his sister and her werewolf boyfriend making their music. Dude's gotta sleep sometimes.

Ohh now that's a cool little lore bit. I love it when places take on a magic of their own.

You tricked me! I clicked the link for the kitchen fire and now I've reread the comic from then until this comic (again).

Joking aside, thanks for the links, it's hard to remember all details for some of us, having a link to refresh my memory is great.

You're welcome! I know how easy it can be to lose track sometimes while reading a long-running webcomic.

Sorry Crystal But Vamps Already said they can not Multiply without a Spooky Magic Energy Field So yes it is his fault. Now I like Jack..Nae I Love JACK! But he got more Power than Brains and Every bit of Harm From Vampires to Sandra Being a Demon IS HIS FAULT! Her why I like him.And this took 10 years to realise. Lots of Heroes will say this Captain Hindsight Crap and say (if I done this or that they never of Died!!! ) And basically to hard on them selves and years Later say no I am not at Fault! But Jack is the Reverse !!! More Power than Responsibility !

Naw, I'm going to go with it's only KIND OF his fault.

As we've already seen, magic's on the way back in one way or another.

If not him, something else crazy would have happened. And quite possibly, all that power would have turned up in the hands of someone either even more reckless, or someone not so nearly so good-natured.

"Well Jack, now we know what happens when you mix magical steroids, a dimensional, supernatural critters out the wahzoo and a magically mutated girl who is now a demon... A really, REALLY BIG house! Seems kind of anticlimactic, doesn't it?"

I always thought it was weird when they abandoned the house. I cant believe I did not see it earlier, that house would become a huge magical nexus given the apocalyptic level stuff that has gone on in there.
