Update, April 16: Hey everyone. I need some breathing room, so I thought I'd skip a story page today and wrap up Zandra's Journal with a final entry. It was a nice little blog, it's only fair that it gets an ending of its own.
The next page of the Epilogue will arrive on Friday, barring accidents. And I never bar accidents. We're very inclusive here.
-Joe
Oof. Y'know, if I had remembered that this was Friday the 13th I probably would've tried to get away with another cutesy illustration instead of slaving to finish a whole page under the deadline. I don't know if I can promise another page on Monday! Then again, it's not like I'll have to do this for too much longer, anyway. The grindstone isn't so bad when you're on the verge of retiring it.
Besides, it's kind of neat that it's also the 13th page of the Epilogue! That's... well, it's something, right? Kind of. Maybe?
By the way, it's not a new phone. Zandra isn't made of money.
-Joe
aw, Zandra, good on you, even if it does suck. This is proper responsible behavior.
-still want to see some fanfic of these two together in some romantic way XD
But, onward. at this point, have Jack and Zandra successfully cleaned up the Buxom Spell contamination?
Also, love Zandra's expression in panel 6
Y' know, Minty.
Actually, I don't know how many countries have Mint Imperials, so that joke might be a waste. I'll be useful in case it was a serious question instead:
"Adjective: imperial
1.
relating to an empire."
Maybe not the best word as it makes me think of feet and inches rather than power and respect, but it makes sense and I can't think of a better word so...
It can also mean "majestic," or "magnificent." Something impressive! Though I'm sure Zandra doesn't need as much help as she thinks she does.
This is something I noticed in the last page too: what's with the double lines around the character? The "vibrating effect"? It kind of makes the characters look like they are printed in a newspaper where the pressing-die did a double stamp, one just *slightly* off-center from the other.
I mean, it's clearly intentional, since there are things in the same panel that don't have that effect (Crystal's chain earrings), but I'm wondering why. What significance does this have?
i always found it a unique and interesting stylistic decision. Makes the characters look softer.
That's very mature of Sandra to think of the harm she would cause Wally if she placed her own selfish desires before Crystal's relationship.
She grabbed that chain thingie off her pants, right? It came from the Goblin Market. It’s related to the big circle on the shirt she used to wear, right? Is it a halo? Is it the counterpart of Crystals chain earrings? Is it a *demonic* cellphone? Sooo many tricky little symbols going on here!
Say, as long as we're looking for loose ends to get tied up, is Zandra going to provide a happy ending for ol' Stubby? Perhaps walking off into the sunset with Significant-Other-of-Stubby? Or simply fading into the kind of blissful nonexistence so often denied to stars of old syndicated comic strips?
...Maybe just kill two birds with one stone, and reveal that Stubby quietly morphed into Mr. Chalk? But I shouldn't speculate.
Something tells me that Zandra isn't quite as committed to her characters as I am to her. Might be best for him to fade away.
Hey Joe I've noticed the since the in comic time skip the characters that we've seen Crystal and Zandra seem to have double loop eyes is if they're looking to to worlds at the same times yet before the time skip this did not seem to be the case. Jack's eyes were almost completely flat and Zanders eyes had a hint of what they've got now but it was a pronounced double loop It does now. Does this have any significance to the story?
Get back to work on entertaining us, slave! The will of TOOL compels you!
Aw, who am I kidding ;) We'll wait until the sun burns out for the next page if we have to, because your work is too damn priceless to rush :)
“It’s my phone number. I finally got a cell plan.”
She's had one for a while. She just needed a stylus! Touch screens don't work well with talons.
