I really like those bonus comics keeping your stories' memories alive now and then
Even this long after the comic has finished, I idly type in the URL out of habit, when I'm bored or have nothing else to do.
And promptly I found this, which totally made my day,
definitely beats the usual "ah yeah, right... it ended... I knew that... *sniff*"
I'm really longing for the day when Sandra will rise again to haunt the imagination of Netizens around the world. Surely its only a matter of time!
I love this. I love her shadow. I love the mood in every panel. I love that you did this for Halloween.
I love you Joe. Run away with me forever and have my babies.
What an adorable surprise for Halloween! I'm here a bit late but the sentiment remains. =P
Joe, never got around to it, but thanks for Zebragirl. Been reading it for years and it has always been a steady line in my internet days, going all the way back to 200X. So thank you for the story, the art, and the wonderful experience Zebragirl has been.
You're so welcome, Fortyche. It's been my privilege and pleasure.
Man alive... This comic has been going for literally half my life. It's bizarre to see it over. There were dry spells, certainly, and I admit my interest waned somewhere around Chalk and Viv and everyone speaking in constant riddles, like they were getting high off their own pretentiousness but then I came back, and wow, it's actually finished.
Eighteen years. Eighteen *years*. It's... I guess it's really nice to see a comic like this actually finish, you know? To know that out of that mess of late-90s-early-00s me-too webcomics makers, that something like Zebra Girl actually managed to cross the finish line.
Eighteen years... This shows it can be done, people! You out there, reading this? Where's your novel? Where's your videogame? Where's your painting? Where is your masterpiece?? It doesn't matter if it seems impossible, if you don't think you're ready, just... START! Start your masterpiece and don't ever, ever, ever let go of it!
ADORABLE!
(Everybody needs a day off)
This kind of choked me up. Does she ever choose to visit her old friends as "Sandra?" Or would that just make everybody sad?
Hmm. Think I'll say "no comment" for now, if you don't mind. That's a matter that I'd like to answer in the comic itself, Kerinbot.
Wow - I really look forward to that!
And damned if just THINKING about what that might entail doesn't get me right in the feels all over again!
I LOVE this story. I hope you do a New Thing sometime soon. But I also can't help hoping you will still continue to give us little Zebra Girl treats now and then...
