As a good general rule, it's important to note that vampires sometimes do things which regular people wouldn't do. Also, some of them do things that regular vampires wouldn't do either.
Ha, I didn't even notice them when we first met her, or if I did, it just looked like a way to illustrate the change.: http://zebragirl.thecomicseries.com/comics/617
Speaking of Joe's vampires being different as someone mentioned below, I'm curious as to why Bors, her sire (?), is letting her get away with all this if he doesn't approve. In most universes, that doesn't seem like the norm.
Bors lacks the will to do any thing... he is literally bored with the world, so he does not see a reason to stop Bo.
True, but at least he sort of tried to talk her out of it. I suppose we may not learn what, if any, pivotal event caused him to become bored... like Tool's former job and losing his soul to demons, Doyenne's self-inflicted infertility, and Broadshoulders' encounter with the archdemon, Joe gives enough details to flesh out his villains/side characters without bogging the story down.
Uh... Wow. Lady you uh... Maybe dont stab your own peeps in the head? The arm could of sufficed maybe? @-@ Dang...
I have to wonder who "the worst vampire in town" is... Have we met them?
". . . uh, actually, Bloo . . . he wasn't one of them."
Okay, but do you have enough syringes for everybody? Preferably stored in a crate, or... anything that isn't your digestive track, actually?
Now I'm wondering.. are the strings on the ends of their fingers trails of smoke?
I approve of Vampires that are not standard, and yet can be quite creepy/dangerous.
...
...way back in the day, Bors' tent wasn't Bloo's first stop that night, was it?
Bloo. Bloo. Pockets. Bloo, you are wearing pants. POCKETS.
Why fo into the logic aa to why the syringe needles don't melt when the precursor to the injection is the fact that I have to accept this female reached into the back of her throat to retrieve said syringe in the first place? Doesn't make sense to me how she's hiding syringes in her throat without stabbing herself and yet is self-conscious about the fragility of this tool. This is very disjointed.
Well she's got plenty of space in her supernatural bowels, but the blood in the syringe is highly acidic.
So it's science until it isn't and it suddenly becomes magical when convenient? So why bother with acid-resistant needles when you could just get some that are resistant because of the convenience of magic?
because, obviously, Bloo doesn't have a Magical Syringe crafter in her group of Vampires. duh.
I dislike convenience too, so I do try not to utilize attributes that lack foundation elsewhere in the comic. It's been established that vampires (or at least some of them) have necks and jaws capable of stretching to hideous lengths. I felt this provided a reasonable suggestion that Bloo might be capable of temporarily storing and regurgitating consumed items, like a snake expelling undigested food (albeit with less physical stress). It's supernatural in that it's not something regular people can do, but it's not "magical" in that it has no precedent or explanation.
The first time we saw Zandra's blood used on a vampire was with Bloo... a drop or so (taken ORALLY!) was enough to knock her out.

I wonder if there are any additional side effects to having a whole syringe of the stuff injected directly into your forehead. Y'know... besides the migraine.
The background crosshatching is nothing short of amazing.
Hmm. I'm eager for feedback, which panels in particular inspire you to say that? Because I'm using very different techniques in different places.
I'd say every panel you can see the leaves of the trees. All the lines you used to create the base texture for the leaves really gives the area a feel of it being dense woods. And the fact that you have the same line patterns getting lighter to create distance or in the darker places you've layered in cross hatching to create depth, but have still kept up the base texture pattern. I've been here through pretty much all of your style changes, and I really love your commitment to the cross hatching while still using the smooth shading. The only criticism I could give is seeing the streaked lines in the shading(copic markers? if so I know they can be a pain for that particular reason). And that is honestly me reaching.
Is that an empty syringe that Boo is inserting into that vampire's forehead?
