This is going to be awkward. Their initial meeting was less than magnificent. Becky better be sure to recall her best etiquette.
And before you say anything, I'm aware that Wally's spiky collar seems much bigger than it did when he was person shaped. My explanation is magic.
By the way, I felt I was remiss in not mentioning just how nice it was that so many of you came out and said how much you enjoyed Zebra Girl in the comments for the page before last. Heartfelt appreciation is like crack to us cartoonists! Thanks for feeding my addiction, guys!
In case you’re wondering, actual crack is like wheat. Wheat is like morphine. Morphine tastes like cherries. It goes on and on, all our senses are backwards and weird.
Can't believe I posted on the wrong page. Ugh.
Anyway, take #2
Okay, so it is her, I was wrong.
Unless that Wally is also a fake! DUN DUN DUUUN!

Or both are mind controlled.
But if that was the case, the trap would have been detected or sprung by now.
Plus I am pretty confident Becky really wants to talk.
The explanation for the collar better be "It's elastic" because (Smart ass pain in the ass coming up) when Sam was captured by the werewolves, he wrapped a rope round one's neck and threatened him saying if he changed he'd crush his neck.
Okay so maybe it's Crystal's magic collar, not werewolf shapechanging magic. Where's my no-prize?
Here's the strip in question:

Given the other werewolves' comments in the last panel, it's entirely possible that it would not, in fact, have crushed his throat, but it still worked as a threat because they're not familiar enough with their powers to know for sure.
Also, this is magic. Intentions can matter. There's a big difference, mystically, between putting something around someone's neck to adorn them, to bind them to you as your pet/servant/minion, and specifically to strangle them, or between something that someone wears, and something that someone else is deliberately wielding as a weapon against them.
The collar is way oversized - fitting for his wolf form only - as can be seen back when they presented the outfits.
In human form he could wear it as a belt.
Found the strip where he was first shown wearing it:

I'm alright with Wally having an enchanted collar. Heck back when it was revealed that Crystal was into making outfits and gear,I thought "Aw yeah! I bet she enchants them!". Alas, the house fire happened...
And man...Is that....Is that Stephen!?

Heh, I was wondering if someone would catch that. Couldn't help myself.
Wow. Amazing. First, I'd never have picked up on that, particularly because of the mustache.
You see, I've read that page to which you referenced, with Stephen, multiple times. And I NEVER, EVER interpreted that squiggle on his lip as a mustache. Never. My brain just ignored it.
On this page, there is a clear mustache. He looks so different, I said to myself.
Then I followed the link and looked again - the mustache was always there!
Ha ha oh yeah it is, always loved the "No! No I'm single right now!" line, he's such a small secondary character but he captures the whole "self absorbed, half blind" aspect of humanity the setting talks about, walking past marvels without realizing.
Also I voted today too!
Awkward, yes.
But this meeting is also so very, very full of potential.
Man, either I've just not seen Wally's werewolf form for too long or he looks even more like a puppy than I remember.
I think it's just perspective shortening his snout awkwardly in panels 5 and 8.
"The town is crawling with vampires. And, uh . . . nevermind the gigantic werewolf over there, also out in the open. You've got booze at home, right?"
... I come with your daily dose. Spectacular comic. Superb. Stupendous. 11/10, comic of the year.
The only reason it's not 12/10 is because Wally exists. I hate Wally. He's constantly tearing the sails of our Ship, all the while trying to pretend his raft is sea worthy. A constant voice of negativity towards Sandra! A pot (werewolf) calling the kettle (demon) black! Both of them were once human, you would think he could show some sympathy! Rant! Rant rant, rant rant rant rant... Rant rant. RANT.
Ok, I think I've left enough hints as to my opinion on who should be with who. (*Cough* Sandra x Crystal *Cough*)
Perhaps there will be a happy ending this time around. Like when Sandra was turned into a demon... I mean, like the time she was nearly sent to Hell... Wait, no, the time she went bonkers and messed with Sam... The other time she was banished?
... Nevermind.
Alice had a happy ending, or at least a happy goodbye for now.
Good ol' Wally. He's the best!
That bit with the magic collar makes sense. Its not like the werewolves need to get naked before transforming or anything.
Ok, I'm confused. In comics 702 & 703 it looks like human Wally's right eye is fully black. Here in comic 741 werewolf Wally's *left* eye is black!
Yeah, it's just a consequence of his transformation. His heterochromia switches sides.
