Happy New Year, everybody. I'm too exhausted by the whole affair to say anything too eloquent regarding the highs and lows of 2016... we've got a lot to look forward to putting behind us.
But whatever you do next, however you celebrate or contemplate, I hope to see you all next year in the best shape you can manage. Happy 2017, everyone. Thanks for being here.
In fact, hey... thanks for being anywhere.
You have heard this before, I am sure. I love your story. I discovered it years ago left and just came back.
Was it 09 when I read it last? I forget. However, I love it. Still good better even.
Pardon the poor grammar. Happy New Years!!
Happy new year dude. Honestly 2016 was pretty damn sweet for me, a lot of celebrities might have died but a lot of good webcomics came back from the dead so I'll count it as a win year, on a purely selfish basis.
Happy New Year to you too, Nestor. Sounds to me like you've got a good metric for measuring a year's quality!
Wally is kind of scary big already. I wonder what limits his growth.
Thanks for another year of fine comics. I'm looking forward to where 2017 will take us.
Since you mentioned contemplate, there is one question I have always wondered about Jack's life when he is not busy fighting supernatural threats. Do many people call him 'Mr. Stark'?
Yeah, he's strange alright, but I think he'd be more of a "Doctor Pervert".
I really like the shading on Crystal's face on this page for some reason.
Yep, 2016 has been rough...
And I fear 2017 is going to be a bumpy ride, too.
Let's hope for the best, and brace ourselves for the worst. 7@=e
A quote I found today, comforting in its way.... "The future is an inherently good thing, and we move into it one winter at a time."
- Spider Jerusalem, AKA Warren Ellis
Happy new year.
May it be better for all who are of good will and the world at large.
Happy new year.
May it be better for all who are of good will and the world at large.
May it just be better in general. Good tidings, Rock!
Ahhh this page is so good. The shading, the expressions, the exposition. So good. Thanks for another year of mystique and fantasy mayhem, Joe! May there be many more.
Also, gonna preemptively tell 2017 to eat shit. Guilty until proven innocent.
Good to have you here, Spider. 2017 is better for your company. And so is the comic!
I wish you the happiest of new years, Joe!
Well, until next year. Then THAT will be the happiest. And so on. Things are going to gradually get *extremely* happy for you.
Boy, I hope your heart can take all the happiness coming your way. 'Cuz if it can't, that would NOT be happy. And that doesn't fit into my wishes for you.
So - get your shit together, Joe. Happiness is coming for you.
I'll do my best to be ready for it. Happy New Year right back to you, Euphewl!
2016 doesn't deserve an eloquent eulogy. "Good riddance" will suffice.
Objectively, 2017 may not be any better, but at least turning the page gives a moderate amount of hope for better things.
So in the spirit of that, Happy New Year, Joe.
And Happy New Year to you too, Mr. Casual! Here's hoping.
I was about to say "the best part of this page is Becky's face" (in panel 7), but then I scrolled up and saw every panel with Crystal in it.
Good guy, bad guy, does it really matter if time mellows everyone out eventually?
Wow. First time poster anyway. I didn't see this page put up on the day it was uploaded, but damn. Crystal, you need to learn to not do this, girl. I get it.. And I know when you see Zandra tied to a chair it'll be interesting.
Anyway, thank you for this series. I've been reading since the beginning, and I cannot wait to see where it heads. After all, I'm still sitting here waiting about the girl who is totally not Alice and Viv. Even if we don't greet them for a while. The change and art has been beautiful! Joe, this comic has taught me a lot when I never thought of it.
So thank you. May 2017 bring in more light and cheer for you and your work. <3
Thank you kindly, Kris, for saying so. It's great to hear that my work has had an impact, and I truly wish you and yours a prosperous 2017 in return!
Aw man Joe, I've been reading Zebra Girl for a good few years now, and I've loved how your art style has changed into what it is today. This page shows that so well, but that first panel. That first panel, man. I think that single, solitary panel might very well be the best panel I believe I have ever seen in any webcomic ever. It is perfect. The characters stances! Their facial expressions! The words! Good job man. Good job indeed.
Hey, thanks very much, Blayzeing! I'm proud to have made something that left an impression!
Crystal what are you doing the party better not fracture
