That done now seriously. Beautiful work like always Joe. I can't wait for another page.
Bloo: You are full of love.
Crystal: Well yes. I guess you could say I'm full of a general...platonic kind of love.
Bloo: No. Sexual love...
Crystal: Well maybe for...
Bloo: for her!
Wally: wait. What?
Wow Bloo looks kinda almost like a decent person when she's full of mesmerized fascination.
It'd be a shame if she were to get ripped in half by an angry demon and/or crazy pook in the very next panel.
That's some amazing expression work right here, by the way.
And now I have "Sweet Child of Mine" playing in my head. It's the song that always comes to mind when a ruined or villainous character has a moment of seeing their former, purer selves in another character. Great job as always, Joe.

Okay, seriously, Wally. Just eat your chimera of a brother and get it over with.
And that's gotta be the most normal we've seen Bloo yet.
Yeah, who is that anyways?
She seems familiar, somehow.
In any case, she's got some great horns on 'er.
Bloo looks disturbingly like our little lost Mabel in that last panel.
And now I can't unsee that...
Mabel as Bloo in this universe would be scaaaaaaaary...
Maybe Mabel is Bloo's soul?
After all, Manel has been lost for a very long time, and she seems to have "fallen down the rabbit hole" so to speak...
I'm in love with the placement and panelling in this one again, Joe. Good lord.
Bloo showing humanity? Compation? Redemption? She got to rip her throat out and stop this Weakness!

The thought of old vampires drifting endlessly in space has a such a lonely beauty to it.
I love this comic so much.
whelp good chance of one vampire about to be majorly fucked. and not in the perverted way you pevs mind out of the guter
Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride
Shouldn't it mean something when a flower child calls you sunshine? Perhaps she's a late bloomer, after all.
Joe what am I gonna do when this is all over? Fifteen years I've been reading Zebra Girl!
I've only ever bought two comic series in hardcopy, and I gave away Ghost in the Shell after I bought it and read it.
But I do understand. I always knew this was going to end eventually. I thought it was ending back in ~2008 when updates were once-every-few-months.
I'm glad you've kept it going this long, and I completely respect your right to do other things with your life.
Every beautiful thing either dies or becomes ugly. I prefer the former, to be honest.
I hope you find another outlet for your work, you're an incredible artist.
Well, Peanuts went on for fifty years with about 18K strips. Schulz did stop the comic, even if he died two months later. The next day, the final strip of his backlog aired.
You're technically correct, of course.
I'm going to predict that the outcome of this little epiphany will NOT be a new era of love and kindness for the Bloofer Lady. I'm thinking violent backlash.
I think we will see a violent outburst from Bloo. Crystal is everything she lost over the decades of being a vampire.
But I think Crystal is about to reveal a power of her own, That perhaps someone so full of love cannot be corrupted and controlled by those without it. ....or something more.
"Angels and demons dancing on a pin, if no ones watching who will win"
well realistically speaking they can't float in space *forever*, just until they accidentally drift out of the Earth's cone of shadow. so about 1.4 million KM tops, assuming they're careful to stick right to the center of the umbra (unless of course the vampire has the foresight to bring full-body protective wear).
Or maybe, like Sam's gloves, it's a matter of symbolism; and all those nice "rules" go out the window once out in space.
Or maybe space itself has a more powerful symbolism that overrides the sunlightVSvamps we have here.
Or maybe it's just a kind of elaborate suicide, and that if they get dusted in space and never come back, it's the same thing as if they just drift away forever in the eyes of those left behind.
Wait I thought in this world Vamps don't get dusted by sunlight. It just appears that way to us because they turn invisible in the daylight, like the ghosts do. so wouldn't that just mean after a point there wouldn't be any equipment that could see them?
I love today's page - the paneling, facial expressions and body language express so much.
Can't wait to find out if Bloofer is redeemed or destroyed in the end!!! Usually I look forward to what seems like her inevitable demise, but then there are days like this when she looks like she could possibly be saved.
Joe, you mad genius, you :) Awesome work as always.
Wow. You did the Lincoln Memorial thing on that last panel. Crazy angry on the left side of her face, regret and surprise on the right. Well done that man!

"...like I used to be."
At least I think that's what she's wanting to say.
Alternative panel expressions theater!
Welp, in panel one, I think we have a vampire about to go pop, as Jack's blood LITERALLY is filled with Wilde Majick, (Hmm, that would be a good name for a drink!)
In panel two, Wally just got clawed, but is about to go full on kick-@$$ on a certain werewolf-vampire hybrid for delaying him from rescuing Crystal.
In panel three, Sam is either in trouble, or about to receive a heap ton of aggressive, heavy petting! (I mean, really, who can resist petting a cute, fuzzy, bunny?)
In panel four, Bloo is taking Crystal for a waltz amongst the clouds.
In panel five, either the chains are calling out to Crystal, or they are turning into crystal. Can't really tell yet...
In panel six, Zandra is either looking very contemplative, or SHE'S the one who called out to Crystal. (I kinda prefer option B in panel five myself).
In panel seven, Crystal is trying her best to look intimidating, (and failing miserably) and Bloo is getting a bit sharp in tooth.
In panel eight, Bloo just realise that she left the stove on again, and is now smelling smoke!
Bloo's going to try and turn Crystal into a vampire, isn't she.
Either that, or drop Crystal because of Bloo's angst about how her hippie friends went on to lead normal lives and she's stuck being a tripped-out vampire.
