Sorry for keeping you waiting late into the evening, perched wretchedly on the very edge of your seat, chewing your fingers into bloody nubs, but look! Here's something that hasn't happened in an age and a half! FAN ART!
An artist what's called Graphite drew a lovely picture of Black Betty, and I'm just so happy to show it off. Because, like Betty, I love to flaunt my gifts.
You know, for a long time now I've been hoping to re-establish a gallery for Zebra Girl's Fan Work. It used to be quite a healthy area! And I would very much like to think that if I could only get around to making a place for them then those pictures and stories might start to appear again like they used to. Well, let's consider this further incentive! It's definitely something I want to do before the comic concludes.
In the meantime, let's enjoy Graphite's wonderful work. If you'd like to see more of his art, he has a Fur Affinity gallery, though keep in mind it contains adult content. Which I'm sure suits Betty just fine.
I was wondering when Zandra's fire powers would show up again.
Black Betty's look of shocked innocence in the first panel is priceless
I am wondering why she is doing one at a time?.. this is Zandra, who could cause her plaid covored friend in the next to be on fire.. so.. where is the Fwoosh..is she waiting?.. I think she is waiting.
That link was startling - even within this same storyline, your visual prowess has evolved so much! One of the sad things about this comic coming to an end is that we'll stop seeing this evolution. For you it's probably something like "quitting while you're ahead", which is great, but for us it's more like "he left just as he was getting excellent".
At least promise us that you'll let us know if you start a new comic! :)
Dunno if this is what they mean, but I'd expect to read "have A concussion". I'm not native English, though, and for all I know both "have concussion" and "have a concussion" may be valid.
I thought that might be it. But I always figured that the article was optional with that word, similar to saying "he may have stigmata" or "he may have strep throat." I've heard it used in that fashion once or twice.
It's the "have concussion" part. If you'll notice most of the time when people don't use "a" they're referring to a disease. Generally you might say "he has chickenpox" or "he has athletes foot". With a physical injury people use "a". Generally one wouldn't say "I have broken leg" or "I have headache". I'm sure that's not entirely accurate and somebody could explain better than me. My point is leaving out the "a" seems wrong. A better explanation would probably be that it'd be unusual for it to be able to be either. I'll probably go look up the grammar specifics tomorrow.
Though an unusual presentation, I don't think it counts as a typo. While people won't say "I have headache", they might say "I have migraine" or "I have a migraine". People don't say "I have broken leg", but then broken leg is not comparable to concussion; broken leg is comparable to a-bump-in-the-head.
Also, in discussion concussion does seem to be legimitaly used without the article - when talking about concussion victims, concussion treatment, and so on.
Frankly, I'm not sure it's worth the trouble defending one side or the other. A stylistic choice rather than a typo, surely.
That is the best Betty face.
... at least so far. I'm not sure how she might top that one, but I wouldn't put it past her.
4th panel, 2nd vampire from the left.
Is it my computer or is she missing part of her lip to a white void?
Isn't she biting her lower lip? I thought she was biting her lower lip.
Horns? Wings? Claws? Breathes fire?
Yeah, Zandra's a dragon... :)
Also - in case you haven't seen Joe's spoiler free video on "Spiderman: Homecoming" you really should give it a look, at least if you want to see how wide a grin he's capable of... ;)
Ha! Betty's face is surprisingly cartoonish.
Also, could it be that the muscly vampire lady with the choker has appeared before? She feels familiar for some reason...
She has been in the background a couple of times, I think she first appeared here:

I love Betty's face. She's so expressive!
If I have some advice, it'd be this.
Don't wait till you can do it right. If you put off making a gallery, it'll never get done. That's just how it goes. Start easy, just stick a basic gallery together on Imgur or something, a placeholder to get *something* together. You can do it properly later, but if you want it to get done, you've got to start somewhere, you know?
With Betty being a shapeshifter you can get away with cartoony expressions

Can't wait until Sam meets Betty. It ought to be... Interesting...
He has already. :) Check comics 656-658. It was way back at the beginning, and Betty was a bit more neutral then.
