You might recall that some of the Bloofer Lady's followers brandished syringes when they attacked Zandra earlier, though it didn't seem to do them much good. Now, sorry for keeping you waiting again, but it takes a lot of time to draw that many teeth!
On another note, Ask Zandra has updated again! Wow! Kept you waiting there, too, didn't we?
Lastly, I had a great time at the convention! Just had to mention that. Thanks to everyone who stopped by my table and had a friendly word, it's great to have met you in person! And welcome to anyone who's checking the comic out for the first time! It's grand to have you on board, whether you've been with the comic for years or are just giving it a chance!
How does Bloo's top even stay on?
Also, I like the many toothed style of the vampires.
Like She-Hulk's lingerie, Bloo's top is protected by the Comics Code Authority.
Push-up top, like casino waitresses. Most of her boobs are in fact under the top, but the top is tight enough to make what isn't seem to bulge over it.
My guess.
Psst, I'll let you in on a secret:
Bloo's top didn't stay on.
What we're seeing is a sanitized remembering of the fight.
Don't do drugs, kids.
Also, you really might want to lay off of the voluptuousness, Joe. It looks like Sandra's tail is being held in place by her butt cheeks.
Well, Bloo IS pulling on her tail, thus... yanked down between the cheeks. I think it's the demon version of a wedgie?
Nah, I noticed this a few pages ago, but didn't have the nerve to comment upon it.
As a spine extension, a tail would go between butt cheeks below where the pelvis is attached. I've seen catgirl pics with the tail sprouting outwards from above the pelvis, looks weird.
Maybe my male gaze isn't what it used to be, but between the plot and all those teeth, I barely noticed the voluptuousness.
Bloo might be more effective than other vampires, which isn't saying much to be honest, but she definitively lost all the grace she had. Both the beauty of her face and the wit of her prose is gone and she moves like a frantic beast.
That isn't how a lover kisses the sky.
In the end, it turns out she's a monster in a pretty package. Just like Betty, just like Mike, just like Doyenne, Gregory, Harold, even Zandra in a way. Are you really surprised?
Betty isn't a monster! She's just Mad as a Hatter and full of sharp claws, sharp teeth, and sharp fashion. X)
I think essentially, that's what's special about Crystal. She's the only thing in Joe's world that's beautiful and innocent both on the outside and the inside. She's an anomaly.
I would say Viv and Mabel are beautiful on both sides. Not innocent, mind you, but beautiful.
I'm going to bet Bloo bites her and learns Zandra has been diluting her blood prior to giving it to the vamps.
It's possible, but even if that was the case, that wouldn't be much of a "This isn't even my final form" moment.
We already saw Zandra bite her own finger, and feed the blood directly to Bloo. No dilution involved, and she went under immediately.
So, I started with this comic way back when it started, lost track of it a little bit after Sandra met Viv.
I'm glad to see it's still going strong, and I'm really enjoying this sort of "forward jump in time" for Zandra and the gang. Really interested to see where this goes.
Superjuice makes you grow extra teeth! That's quite the drug, heh.
Sandra relies on her tail too much, I think. She's had it cut off several times, by now. Good thing she regenerates.
Not so good, though, that as a demon her body is basically constructed of pain and suffering. Regeneration causes her some nasty dietary needs.
...and that leads me to believe that Bloo has just put herself right where Zandra wants her: close physical contact. Not all creatures eat with their mouths.
They always had the extra jaws. Apparently, though, this drug makes vampa super-strong and manic.
I feel like the second half of this comic could have been paced differently, decompressed so it felt more impactful. As is, events that (on second reading) are actually pretty "holy shit" come off as matter-of-fact "and then this happens, and then this happens" because of stuff like panel size and layout.
Then again, my tastes are kinda skewed by all that manga.
I disagree. Her return to Earth is not the second half, it's the finishing act. It's not the time anymore to open new paths, it's the time to tie up loose threads.
The story would have been so much less impactful if the gang and Zandra had time to speak, because eventually they will cooperate one way or the other. To keep them apart even longer than Joe already has would require a lot of contrived reasons. I think this story is just compressed enough.
Bloo is going to know the sharpness of a demons claws.
But First ... Fold wings, and suplex her into the trees. I assume wooden stakes still work. The fences?. Or just good old concrete road to break her.
Perhaps to win, you have to fall ...
Not nessesary. It fell out when she grabbed Zandra by the tail.
Ask your doctor if Super Juice is right for you.
If the effects last for more that 4 hours please seek medical attention.
Side effects may include....well just look at the page.
Bloo bites Zandra. Bloo falls asleep. Game over.
Seriously, for vampires this is kind of a handicap. Someone whom you cannot bite kinda takes the fun out of the whole thing.
What do vampires even shoot up with? Battery acid? The ashes of a burned cross? Lenin's nocturnal emissions?
I'm just imagining the noises she's making being the same as the special infected from Left 4 Dead. Especially the Smoker. Which leads me to imagining Louis screaming "THEY'RE VAMPIRES, NOT ZOMBIES!"
